About

‘The Australian Entrepreneurs” with Disabilities Association Inc. (AEDA) is for people with disabilities who run, or are planning to start, their own businesses.

We recognise the difficulties that people with disabilities face in gaining, keeping and succeeding in general employment (even with strong legislation); and such difficulties are even more paramount in running a small business.

AEDA is not a lobby group or one to take strong political action. Yes, we will speak our mind when we see fit, but our general purpose is to help and support those with disabilities in Australia start-up and run their own businesses.

We are an incorporated association under the Associations Incorporation Act 1981 and were registered in June 2003 with our Incorporated Associations Registration number being: A0044389R. We fully comply with the regulations that are detailed in the Act.

AEDA Inc. mission statement is:

  • To promote and advance the entrepreneurial spirit of those with disabilities in the wider community of Australia.
  • To bring together as a group (for support) those with disabilities who run, or wish to run, a small business.
  • To offer support and assistance to enable those with disabilities to start-up in business.
  • To raise money and other assistance (products and/or services) for the benefit of our members
